Biotech Snap is evolving

Hi everyone,
One year ago, on June 23, 2025, we launched Biotech Snap with a simple idea: Biotech news could be easier to read.
Not less serious. Not less useful. Just sharper, clearer, and better adapted to how busy biotech professionals actually consume information.
Why it matters: Biotech is one of the most complex and crowded information spaces in the world. Every day, there is more news, more data, more noise, and more pressure to stay informed.
Biotech Snap was our attempt to bring a new media approach to biotech: short, structured, fast to read, but still useful for people who need to understand what is happening and why it matters.
And the positive response from our readers showed us that format can be a key selling point for a media product, especially in a market where many newsletters and publications are fighting for attention.
Now we want to take that lesson and apply it where we believe we can create the strongest impact.
The next step: Biotech Snap will evolve into our European biotech coverage.
We want to build something truly useful, and that means focusing our energy where we have the strongest foundation, the deepest network, and the clearest editorial role: in the European biotech community.
That is why the spirit of Biotech Snap will now move into European Biotechnology Magazine.
What changes: Biotech Snap, as a standalone daily newsletter, will stop, but the format, the thinking, and the ambition behind it will continue.
EBM will adopt the writing style we developed with Biotech Snap across its digital coverage, including the newsletter and the news articles published on our website.
In the coming months, the EBM’s website and newsletter will also be fully redesigned to offer you a better reading experience.
What this means for you: As a Biotech Snap subscriber, your email will be moved to the EBM newsletter list.
If you do not want your email to be transferred to our European biotech newsletter, you can unsubscribe now using the link below (or at anytime in the future newsletters we will send you).
And to finish, thank you for being one of the early adopters of Biotech Snap. Thank you for opening, reading, sharing, and sending feedback. Your reactions helped us understand what worked, what mattered, and where we should go next.
We hope to count you among our future readers,
– Joachim Eeckhout
CEO and Editorial Director
